What happens when you give kids 10 dollars?
Here is the demo...

Frightening, isn't it?

Then, true gratitude...
Finally.

A broken camera and a bonfire...

Did the title get you?
Well, never fear dear reader...
it got me too.

My lens shattered on Ellie's baptism.
With the several hundred dollars spent on it,
one would hope it would last.

So, today...Sam and I purchased a new lens.
And my camera is still messed up.
GAH!
Into the shop it will go and hopefully be ready for Christmas...

On a lighter much more joyful note...we are going sledding tonight.
With a bonfire, hot chocolate and tubes.
Jealous?
(And it's snowing...)

Have some snow...

We have nearly 2 feet of SNOW!!!!

Finally.
I really tried to be patient.
It was hard.

And it finally paid off.
It is to my knees outside!

WOO-HOO!

Christmas wishes...

Letters to Santa,
 steaming cups of hot chocolate

neighbor gifts,
presents tucked neatly under the tree.
Smell the oranges and clove,

Words of hope and inspiration fill our hearts.
Music touches our soul.

It must be Christmas time...

Well, here we go.
Eight years old.
The time of reckoning...
for small children.
Bwhahahaha!

Just kidding. Ellie is so excited she can't sleep at night.
We found her a beautiful white dress.
And she would love to have a shiny tiara to go with that...

She has been studying her scriptures and singing baptism songs.
It is probably one of the sweetest things I have ever seen.
Her pure love for Christ just shines in her eyes.

Open your wings, little girl, and soar!
