Hey! Brace face...

Riley got braces yesterday. It is a rite of passage that I never had the pleasure of taking. He hasn't complained at all. Only the bottom are on for now...the top braces go on in about a month!

In other news, tonight is Ry's court of honor. He gets to present the flag tonight. That is exciting to me. He is growing up right before my eyes. And, I don't know if I love it, or hate it. He is still my little boy, right? Right?

Officially offical

Well, it is officially too quiet around here. The silence is almost suffocating. I miss my kids when they traipse back to school. I miss their screams of delight, and the life they breathe into our home. I don't miss the fighting or teasing...or the mess in the kitchen. But, little arms that love. And, smiles that stretch ear to ear. Cookies for breakfast...and sleeping in. Yeah, I miss all that.

So, the 2009-2010 School year has officially begun. I think I will celebrate by pumping some music through the house...and clean. It may even last until they get back home!!!

We are trying so hard to get back into a routine around here!!! I suppose we had better get a jump on it, since school starts...*gasp* tomorrow! How did that happen???

It has been an interesting summer to say the least. I promise to update, download and fill in all the gaps.

Hopefully fall will kick in with beautiful colors, tantalizing smells and cool nights soon. I invite you to roll out a blanket and check out the stars with your favorite cuddly honey!!!
