Hawaii, Hip surgery and so much more!

Sounds like a bad informercial...right???

That is our life in a nutshell right now.  In 2 weeks Sam will finally set foot in Hawaii.  For the first time in 18 years.  He was blessed to serve a LDS mission there 91-93.  For two years he lived and served among the people.  He grew to love them and the land.  He was honored to build and rebuild after Hurricane Iniki hit...  And then life happened.  So much life.  More life than I could possibly put here.  Marriage, kids, life, death, work, school.

Over the last year I have been tucking away a little here and a little there.  Enough for plane tickets to Maui.  So, guess who is going to MAUI!!!  WE ARE!!!  Hooray! ( Although, Sam has to pay for the rest)

Finally, I get to see the beauty of the culture firsthand.  I can't wait!!!  It will be wonderful.  Sunrise at Haleakala.  Swimming the seven sacred pools.  Snorkeling in Molokini.  And surfing lessons...and bumming at the beach.  It is a much deserved chance to relax and renew.  Heart and soul.  And maybe kiss under the moon, stars and heavens above...

On our return Sam is having hip surgery.  Major hip surgery.  Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.  And to wrap it all up...My triathlon is April 24th.  Wow.  April got busy.

Love to you all!

Wow Amy! How fun and how not fun and how exciting (that was Hawaii, hip surgery and triathlon in that order). You are simply amazing. Amazing. I am sad that we don't live closer. We need to know each other better. We just do. I want to bask in your amazingness. I just love you. xoxo
