Easter

We got to celebrate Easter twice!  We spent Saturday with my family in Timberlakes and shared good food, great conversation and even better silly faces with each other.  As always, my Mom makes the best rolls on the planet!  She also knows how to make us all feel special too.  The kids got to hunt Easter eggs throughout the house, ( it was snowing outside...yes, snowing ), and had a blast finding all the little colored devils filled with sugary death.  Yup.  Candy.  They laughed and played and kept hiding the eggs again and again.  It was a super good day!  Even with the snow.

On Sunday the kids got up to find their treasures.  Their baskets are hidden and there are usually some clues for them to find them.  I think they set a record this year.  They found them ALL before we even got out of bed.  So much for enjoying the look on their faces.  Sneaky little kids!  It was a wonderful holiday that we shared with our dear friends.  Jake and Mandy (and their 3 adorable kids) and Britten came to celebrate with us.  They even came with us to church!!  After church we came home and ate to our hearts content.  Jake brought his guitar and made beautiful music.  Mandy shared her sweetness with all, and Britten just hung out and soaked it all in.  Our friends are dear to us and we hope they always feel welcome in our home.  We sang, we laughed, we played, the kids ran around like only kids can... and it was perfect.

A perfect day to ponder the miracle that was an empty tomb.  He was not there. He had Risen.  Our Redeemer Lives.  Such a gift.  Given in pure love.  I can't wait to see Him in all His Glory!

Hope your Easter was as blessed and beautiful!
